詩篇 30:11
You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
你已將我的哀哭變為跳舞，將我的麻衣脫去，給我披上喜樂，

詩篇 30:5
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
因為，他的怒氣不過是轉眼之間；他的恩典乃是一生之久。一宿雖然有哭泣，早晨便必歡呼。

詩篇 42:3
My tears have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long, "Where is your God?"
我晝夜以眼淚當飲食；人不住的對我說：你的神在那裡呢？

詩篇 80:5
You have fed them with the bread of tears; you have made them drink tears by the bowlful.
你以眼淚當食物給他們吃，又多量出眼淚給他們喝。

詩篇 39:12
"Hear my prayer, Lord, listen to my cry for help; do not be deaf to my weeping. I dwell with you as a foreigner, a stranger, as all my ancestors were.
耶和華啊，求你聽我的禱告，留心聽我的呼求！我流淚，求你不要靜默無聲！因為我在你面前是客旅，是寄居的，像我列祖一般。

詩篇 84:5 - 6
Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.
靠你有力量、心中想往錫安大道的，這人便為有福！他們經過「流淚谷」，叫這谷變為泉源之地；並有秋雨之福蓋滿了全谷。

詩篇 56:8
Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll - are they not in your record?
我幾次流離，你都記數；求你把我眼淚裝在你的皮袋裡。這不都記在你冊子上嗎？

詩篇 102:9
For I eat ashes as my food and mingle my drink with tears
我吃過爐灰，如同吃飯；我所喝的與眼淚攙雜。
