you gave through your servants the prophets when you said: 'The land you are entering to possess is a land polluted by the corruption of its peoples. By their detestable practices they have filled it with their impurity from one end to the other.

They say, "The Lord does not see; the God of Jacob takes no notice."
耶和華啊，惡人誇勝要到幾時呢？要到幾時呢？
他們絮絮叨叨說傲慢的話；一切作孽的人都自己誇張。
耶和華啊，他們強壓你的百姓，苦害你的產業。
他們殺死寡婦和寄居的，又殺害孤兒。

Now the people of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the Lord.

違棄律法的，誇獎惡人；遵守律法的，卻與惡人相爭。
耶利米書 14:10
This is what the Lord says about this people: "They greatly love to wander; they do not restrain their feet. So the Lord does not accept them; he will now remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins."
耶和華對這百姓如此說：這百姓喜愛妄行（原文作飄流），不禁止腳步，所以耶和華不悅納他們。現今要記念他們的罪孽，追討他們的罪惡。
申命記 32:32

Their vine comes from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are filled with poison, and their clusters with bitterness.
Their wine is the venom of serpents, the deadly poison of cobras.

Why do you boast of evil, you mighty hero? Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?
You who practice deceit, your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor.
You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth.
You love every harmful word, you deceitful tongue!
（以東人多益來告訴掃羅說：「大衛到了亞希米勒家。」那時，大衛作這訓誨詩，交與伶長。）勇士啊，你為何以作惡自誇？神的慈愛是常存的。
你的舌頭邪惡詭詐，好像剃頭刀，快利傷人。
你愛惡勝似愛善，又愛說謊，不愛說公義。（細拉）
詭詐的舌頭啊，你愛說一切毀滅的話！
耶利米書 11:8
But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubbornness of their evil hearts. So I brought on them all the curses of the covenant I had commanded them to follow but that they did not keep.' "

"When I found Israel, it was like finding grapes in the desert; when I saw your ancestors, it was like seeing the early fruit on the fig tree. But when they came to Baal Peor, they consecrated themselves to that shameful idol and became as vile as the thing they loved.
主說：我遇見以色列如葡萄在曠野；我看見你們的列祖如無花果樹上春季初熟的果子。他們卻來到巴力毗珥專拜那可羞恥的，就成為可憎惡的，與他們所愛的一樣。
西番雅書 3:5

The Lord within her is righteous; he does no wrong. Morning by morning he dispenses his justice, and every new day he does not fail, yet the unrighteous know no shame. Jerusalem Remains Unrepentant
"I have destroyed nations; their strongholds are demolished. I have left their streets deserted, with no one passing through. Their cities are laid waste; they are deserted and empty.
Of Jerusalem I thought, 'Surely you will fear me and accept correction!' Then her place of refuge would not be destroyed, nor all my punishments come upon her. But they were still eager to act corruptly in all they did.
Therefore wait for me," declares the Lord, "for the day I will stand up to testify. I have decided to assemble the nations, to gather the kingdoms and to pour out my wrath on them- all my fierce anger. The whole world will be consumed by the fire of my jealous anger.
"Then I will purify the lips of the peoples, that all of them may call on the name of the Lord and serve him shoulder to shoulder.
From beyond the rivers of Cush my worshipers, my scattered people, will bring me offerings.
On that day you, Jerusalem, will not be put to shame for all the wrongs you have done to me, because I will remove from you your arrogant boasters. Never again will you be haughty on my holy hill.
But I will leave within you the meek and humble. The remnant of Israel will trust in the name of the Lord.
They will do no wrong; they will tell no lies. A deceitful tongue will not be found in their mouths. They will eat and lie down and no one will make them afraid."
耶和華在他中間是公義的，斷不做非義的事，每早晨顯明他的公義，無日不然；只是不義的人不知羞恥。
我耶和華已經除滅列國的民；他們的城樓毀壞。我使他們的街道荒涼，以致無人經過；他們的城邑毀滅，以致無人，也無居民。
我說：你只要敬畏我，領受訓誨；如此，你的住處不至照我所擬定的除滅。只是你們從早起來就在一切事上敗壞自己。
耶和華說：你們要等候我，直到我興起擄掠的日子；因為我已定意招聚列國，聚集列邦，將我的惱怒就是我的烈怒都傾在他們身上。我的忿怒如火，必燒滅全地。
那時，我必使萬民用清潔的言語好求告我耶和華的名，同心合意的事奉我。
祈禱我的，就是我所分散的民（原文作女子；下同），必從古實河外來，給我獻供物。
當那日，你必不因你一切得罪我的事自覺羞愧；因為那時我必從你中間除掉矜誇高傲之輩，你也不再於我的聖山狂傲。
我卻要在你中間留下困苦貧寒的民；他們必投靠我耶和華的名。
以色列所剩下的人必不作罪孽，不說謊言，口中也沒有詭詐的舌頭；而且吃喝躺臥，無人驚嚇。
羅馬書 9:8
In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God's children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's offspring.
這就是說，肉身所生的兒女不是神的兒女，惟獨那應許的兒女才算是後裔。

羅馬書 2:8
But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.

They plot injustice and say, "We have devised a perfect plan!" Surely the human mind and heart are cunning.
他們磨舌如刀，發出苦毒的言語，好像比準了的箭，
要在暗地射完全人；他們忽然射他，並不懼怕。
他們彼此勉勵設下惡計；他們商量暗設網羅，說：誰能看見？
他們圖謀奸惡，說：我們是極力圖謀的。他們各人的意念心思是深的。
箴言 2:12

Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse,
who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways,
who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,
whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways.
Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words,
who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenant she made before God.
Surely her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead.
None who go to her return or attain the paths of life.
要救你脫離惡道（或作：惡人的道），脫離說乖謬話的人。
那等人捨棄正直的路，行走黑暗的道，
歡喜作惡，喜愛惡人的乖僻，
在他們的道中彎曲，在他們的路上偏僻。
智慧要救你脫離淫婦，就是那油嘴滑舌的外女。
他離棄幼年的配偶，忘了神的盟約。
他的家陷入死地；他的路偏向陰間。
凡到他那裡去的，不得轉回，也得不著生命的路。
箴言 14:9
Fools mock at making amends for sin, but goodwill is found among the upright.
愚妄人犯罪，以為戲耍（或作：贖愆祭愚弄愚妄人）；正直人互相喜悅。

The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.
Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.
Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have done.
Youths oppress my people, women rule over them. My people, your guides lead you astray; they turn you from the path.
The Lord takes his place in court; he rises to judge the people.
他們的面色證明自己的不正；他們述說自己的罪惡，並不隱瞞，好像所多瑪一樣。他們有禍了！因為作惡自害。
你們要論義人說：他必享福樂，因為要吃自己行為所結的果子。
惡人有禍了！他必遭災難！因為要照自己手所行的受報應。
至於我的百姓，孩童欺壓他們，婦女轄管他們。我的百姓啊，引導你的使你走錯，並毀壞你所行的道路。
耶和華起來辯論，站著審判眾民。
以賽亞書 32:6

For fools speak folly, their hearts are bent on evil: They practice ungodliness and spread error concerning the Lord; the hungry they leave empty and from the thirsty they withhold water.
Scoundrels use wicked methods, they make up evil schemes to destroy the poor with lies, even when the plea of the needy is just.
因為愚頑人必說愚頑話，心裡想作罪孽，慣行褻瀆的事，說錯謬的話攻擊耶和華，使飢餓的人無食可吃，使口渴的人無水可喝。
吝嗇人所用的法子是惡的；他圖謀惡計，用謊言毀滅謙卑人；窮乏人講公理的時候，他也是這樣行。
以西結書 16:47
You not only followed their ways and copied their detestable practices, but in all your ways you soon became more depraved than they.
你沒有效法他們的行為，也沒有照他們可憎的事去做，你以那為小事，你一切所行的倒比他們更壞。
彌迦書 3:1

Then I said, "Listen, you leaders of Jacob, you rulers of Israel. Should you not embrace justice,
you who hate good and love evil; who tear the skin from my people and the flesh from their bones;
who eat my people's flesh, strip off their skin and break their bones in pieces; who chop them up like meat for the pan, like flesh for the pot?"
Then they will cry out to the Lord, but he will not answer them. At that time he will hide his face from them because of the evil they have done.
This is what the Lord says: "As for the prophets who lead my people astray, they proclaim 'peace' if they have something to eat, but prepare to wage war against anyone who refuses to feed them.
Therefore night will come over you, without visions, and darkness, without divination. The sun will set for the prophets, and the day will go dark for them.
The seers will be ashamed and the diviners disgraced. They will all cover their faces because there is no answer from God."
But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, to Israel his sin.
Hear this, you leaders of Jacob, you rulers of Israel, who despise justice and distort all that is right;
who build Zion with bloodshed, and Jerusalem with wickedness.
Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets tell fortunes for money. Yet they look for the Lord's support and say, "Is not the Lord among us? No disaster will come upon us."
Therefore because of you, Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble, the temple hill a mound overgrown with thickets.
我說：雅各的首領，以色列家的官長啊，你們要聽！你們不當知道公平嗎？
你們惡善好惡，從人身上剝皮，從人骨頭上剔肉，
吃我民的肉，剝他們的皮，打折他們的骨頭，分成塊子像要下鍋，又像釜中的肉。
到了遭災的時候，這些人必哀求耶和華，他卻不應允他們。那時他必照他們所行的惡事向他們掩面。
論到使我民走差路的先知，他們牙齒有所嚼的，他們就呼喊說：平安了！凡不供給他們吃的，他們就預備攻擊他（預備攻擊他：或作說必遭遇刀兵），耶和華如此說：
你們必遭遇黑夜，以致不見異象；又必遭遇幽暗，以致不能占卜。日頭必向你們沉落，白晝變為黑暗。
先見必抱愧，占卜的必蒙羞，都必摀著嘴唇，因為神不應允他們。
至於我，我藉耶和華的靈，滿有力量、公平、才能，可以向雅各說明他的過犯，向以色列指出他的罪惡。
雅各家的首領、以色列家的官長啊，當聽我的話！你們厭惡公平，在一切事上屈枉正直；
以人血建立錫安，以罪孽建造耶路撒冷。
首領為賄賂行審判；祭司為雇價施訓誨；先知為銀錢行占卜。他們卻倚賴耶和華，說：耶和華不是在我們中間嗎？災禍必不臨到我們。
所以因你們的緣故，錫安必被耕種像一塊田，耶路撒冷必變為亂堆；這殿的山必像叢林的高處。
馬太福音 6:23
But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
你的眼睛若昏花，全身就黑暗。你裡頭的光若黑暗了，那黑暗是何等大呢！」

Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.

提摩太後書 3:2

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,
treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-
having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires,
always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected.
But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,
persecutions, sufferings-what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them.
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
因為那時人要專顧自己、貪愛錢財、自誇、狂傲、謗讟、違背父母、忘恩負義、心不聖潔、
無親情、不解怨、好說讒言、不能自約、性情兇暴、不愛良善、
賣主賣友、任意妄為、自高自大、愛宴樂、不愛神，
有敬虔的外貌，卻背了敬虔的實意；這等人你要躲開。
那偷進人家、牢籠無知婦女的，正是這等人。這些婦女擔負罪惡，被各樣的私慾引誘，
常常學習，終久不能明白真道。
從前雅尼和佯庇怎樣敵擋摩西，這等人也怎樣敵擋真道。他們的心地壞了，在真道上是可廢棄的。
然而他們不能再這樣敵擋；因為他們的愚昧必在眾人面前顯露出來，像那二人一樣。
但你已經服從了我的教訓、品行、志向、信心、寬容、愛心、忍耐，
以及我在安提阿、以哥念、路司得所遭遇的逼迫，苦難。我所忍受是何等的逼迫；但從這一切苦難中，主都把我救出來了。
不但如此，凡立志在基督耶穌裡敬虔度日的也都要受逼迫。
只是作惡的和迷惑人的，必越久越惡，他欺哄人，也被人欺哄。
撒母耳記上 24:13

As the old saying goes, 'From evildoers come evil deeds,' so my hand will not touch you.
"Against whom has the king of Israel come out? Who are you pursuing? A dead dog? A flea?
May the Lord be our judge and decide between us. May he consider my cause and uphold it; may he vindicate me by delivering me from your hand."
When David finished saying this, Saul asked, "Is that your voice, David my son?" And he wept aloud.
"You are more righteous than I," he said. "You have treated me well, but I have treated you badly.
You have just now told me about the good you did to me; the Lord delivered me into your hands, but you did not kill me.
When a man finds his enemy, does he let him get away unharmed? May the Lord reward you well for the way you treated me today.
I know that you will surely be king and that the kingdom of Israel will be established in your hands.
Now swear to me by the Lord that you will not kill off my descendants or wipe out my name from my father's family."
So David gave his oath to Saul. Then Saul returned home, but David and his men went up to the stronghold.
古人有句俗語說：『惡事出於惡人。』我卻不親手加害於你。
以色列王出來要尋找誰呢？追趕誰呢？不過追趕一條死狗，一個虼蚤就是了。
願耶和華在你我中間施行審判，斷定是非，並且鑒察，為我伸冤，救我脫離你的手。」
大衛向掃羅說完這話，掃羅說：「我兒大衛，這是你的聲音嗎？」就放聲大哭，
對大衛說：「你比我公義；因為你以善待我，我卻以惡待你。
你今日顯明是以善待我；因為耶和華將我交在你手裡，你卻沒有殺我。
人若遇見仇敵，豈肯放他平安無事地去呢？願耶和華因你今日向我所行的，以善報你。
我也知道你必要作王，以色列的國必堅立在你手裡。
現在你要指著耶和華向我起誓，不剪除我的後裔，在我父家不滅沒我的名。」
於是大衛向掃羅起誓，掃羅就回家去；大衛和跟隨他的人上山寨去了。
詩篇 5:9
Not a word from their mouth can be trusted; their heart is filled with malice. Their throat is an open grave; with their tongues they tell lies.
因為，他們的口中沒有誠實；他們的心裡滿有邪惡；他們的喉嚨是敞開的墳墓；他們用舌頭諂媚人。
詩篇 7:14

Whoever is pregnant with evil conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment.
Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit they have made.
The trouble they cause recoils on them; their violence comes down on their own heads.
試看惡人因奸惡而劬勞，所懷的是毒害，所生的是虛假。
他掘了坑，又挖深了，竟掉在自己所挖的阱裡。
他的毒害必臨到他自己的頭上；他的強暴必落到他自己的腦袋上。
詩篇 36:1
- 4
I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before their eyes.
In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin.
The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful; they fail to act wisely or do good.
Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong.
（耶和華的僕人大衛的詩，交與伶長。）惡人的罪過在他心裡說：我眼中不怕神！
他自誇自媚，以為他的罪孽終不顯露，不被恨惡。
他口中的言語盡是罪孽詭詐；他與智慧善行已經斷絕。
他在床上圖謀罪孽，定意行不善的道，不憎惡惡事。
詩篇 58:3

Even from birth the wicked go astray; from the womb they are wayward, spreading lies.
Their venom is like the venom of a snake, like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears,
that will not heed the tune of the charmer, however skillful the enchanter may be.
惡人一出母胎就與神疏遠，一離母腹便走錯路，說謊話。
他們的毒氣好像蛇的毒氣；他們好像塞耳的聾虺，
不聽行法術的聲音，雖用極靈的咒語也是不聽。
詩篇 73:4

They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong.
They are free from common human burdens; they are not plagued by human ills.
Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence.
From their callous hearts comes iniquity ; their evil imaginations have no limits.
They scoff, and speak with malice; with arrogance they threaten oppression.
Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth.
Therefore their people turn to them and drink up waters in abundance.
They say, "How would God know? Does the Most High know anything?"
This is what the wicked are like- always free of care, they go on amassing wealth.
他們死的時候沒有疼痛；他們的力氣卻也壯實。
他們不像別人受苦，也不像別人遭災。
所以，驕傲如鏈子戴在他們的項上；強暴像衣裳遮住他們的身體。
他們的眼睛因體胖而凸出；他們所得的，過於心裡所想的。
他們譏笑人，憑惡意說欺壓人的話；他們說話自高。
他們的口褻瀆上天；他們的舌毀謗全地。
所以神的民歸到這裡，喝盡了滿杯的苦水。
他們說：神怎能曉得？至高者豈有知識呢？
看哪，這就是惡人；他們既是常享安逸，財寶便加增。
箴言 1:29

since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord.
Since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke,
they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.
For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them;
因為，你們恨惡知識，不喜愛敬畏耶和華，
不聽我的勸戒，藐視我一切的責備，
所以必吃自結的果子，充滿自設的計謀。
愚昧人背道，必殺己身；愚頑人安逸，必害己命。
箴言 13:19
A longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but fools detest turning from evil.
所欲的成就，心覺甘甜；遠離惡事，為愚昧人所憎惡。
以賽亞書 26:10

But when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the Lord.
Lord, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame; let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them.
以恩惠待惡人，他仍不學習公義；在正直的地上，他必行事不義，也不注意耶和華的威嚴。
耶和華啊，你的手高舉，他們仍然不看；卻要看你為百姓發的熱心，因而抱愧，並且有火燒滅你的敵人。

Although you wash yourself with soap and use an abundance of cleansing powder, the stain of your guilt is still before me," declares the Sovereign Lord.
"How can you say, 'I am not defiled; I have not run after the Baals'? See how you behaved in the valley; consider what you have done. You are a swift she-camel running here and there,
a wild donkey accustomed to the desert, sniffing the wind in her craving- in her heat who can restrain her? Any males that pursue her need not tire themselves; at mating time they will find her.
Do not run until your feet are bare and your throat is dry. But you said, 'It's no use! I love foreign gods, and I must go after them.'
你雖用鹼、多用肥皂洗濯，你罪孽的痕跡仍然在我面前顯出。這是主耶和華說的。
你怎能說：我沒有玷污、沒有隨從眾巴力？你看你谷中的路，就知道你所行的如何。你是快行的獨峰駝，狂奔亂走。
你是野驢，慣在曠野，慾心發動就吸風；起性的時候誰能使他轉去呢？凡尋找他的必不至疲乏；在他的月分必能尋見。
我說：你不要使腳上無鞋，喉嚨乾渴。你倒說：這是枉然。我喜愛別神，我必隨從他們。

I thought, "These are only the poor; they are foolish, for they do not know the way of the Lord, the requirements of their God.
So I will go to the leaders and speak to them; surely they know the way of the Lord, the requirements of their God." But with one accord they too had broken off the yoke and torn off the bonds.
我說：這些人實在是貧窮的，是愚昧的，因為不曉得耶和華的作為和他們神的法則。
我要去見尊大的人，對他們說話，因為他們曉得耶和華的作為和他們神的法則。哪知，這些人齊心將軛折斷，掙開繩索。
耶利米書 6:7
As a well pours out its water, so she pours out her wickedness. Violence and destruction resound in her; her sickness and wounds are ever before me.
井怎樣湧出水來，這城也照樣湧出惡來；在其間常聽見有強暴毀滅的事，病患損傷也常在我面前。
