箴言 17:28 Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.
愚昧人若靜默不言也可算為智慧;閉口不說也可算為聰明。
箴言 29:11 Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.
愚妄人怒氣全發;智慧人忍氣含怒。
出埃及記 14:14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."
耶和華必為你們爭戰;你們只管靜默,不要作聲。」

彼得前書 3:3 - 4 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
你們不要以外面的辮頭髮,戴金飾,穿美衣為妝飾, 只要以裡面存著長久溫柔,安靜的心為妝飾;這在神面前是極寶貴的。
詩篇 4:4 Tremble and do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent.

所以通達人見這樣的時勢必靜默不言,因為時勢真惡。

因為他們不說和平話,倒想出詭詐的言語害地上的安靜人。
帖撒羅尼迦前書 4:11 - 12 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
又要立志作安靜人,辦自己的事,親手做工,正如我們從前所吩咐你們的, 叫你們可以向外人行事端正,自己也就沒有什麼缺乏了。
詩篇 22:23 You who fear the Lord, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, honor him! Revere him, all you descendants of Israel!
你們敬畏耶和華的人要讚美他!雅各的後裔都要榮耀他!以色列的後裔都要懼怕他!
箴言 14:30 A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.
心中安靜是肉體的生命;嫉妒是骨中的朽爛。
列王記上 19:11 - 12 The Lord said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by." Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
耶和華說:「你出來站在山上,在我面前。」那時耶和華從那裡經過,在他面前有烈風大作,崩山碎石,耶和華卻不在風中;風後地震,耶和華卻不在其中; 地震後有火,耶和華也不在火中;火後有微小的聲音。
箴言 13:10 Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
驕傲只啟爭競;聽勸言的,卻有智慧。
以賽亞書 18:4 This is what the Lord says to me: "I will remain quiet and will look on from my dwelling place, like shimmering heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest."
耶和華對我這樣說:我要安靜,在我的居所觀看,如同日光中的清熱,又如露水的雲霧在收割的熱天。
以賽亞書 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
堅心倚賴你的,你必保守他十分平安,因為他倚靠你。
創世記 49:15 When he sees how good is his resting place and how pleasant is his land, he will bend his shoulder to the burden and submit to forced labor.
他以安靜為佳,以肥地為美,便低肩背重,成為服苦的僕人。

他們就同他七天七夜坐在地上,一個人也不向他說句話,因為他極其痛苦。
歌羅西書 4:5 - 6 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
你們要愛惜光陰,用智慧與外人交往。 你們的言語要常常帶著和氣,好像用鹽調和,就可知道該怎樣回答各人。
帖撒羅尼迦後書 3:12 Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat.
我們靠主耶穌基督吩咐、勸戒這樣的人,要安靜做工,吃自己的飯。
詩篇 131:2 But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.
我的心平穩安靜,好像斷過奶的孩子在他母親的懷中;我的心在我裡面真像斷過奶的孩子。
箴言 13:3 Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.
謹守口的,得保生命;大張嘴的,必致敗亡。
以弗所書 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
污穢的言語一句不可出口,只要隨事說造就人的好話,叫聽見的人得益處。
