箴言 13:11 Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.
不勞而得之財必然消耗;勤勞積蓄的,必見加增。
提摩太前書 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
貪財是萬惡之根。有人貪戀錢財,就被引誘離了真道,用許多愁苦把自己刺透了。
提摩太前書 6:9 - 10 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
但那些想要發財的人,就陷在迷惑、落在網羅和許多無知有害的私慾裡,叫人沉在敗壞和滅亡中。 貪財是萬惡之根。有人貪戀錢財,就被引誘離了真道,用許多愁苦把自己刺透了。
希伯來書 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
你們存心不可貪愛錢財,要以自己所有的為足;因為主曾說:『我總不撇下你,也不丟棄你。』
傳道書 5:10 Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.
貪愛銀子的,不因得銀子知足;貪愛豐富的,也不因得利益知足。這也是虛空。
馬太福音 6:24 "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
「一個人不能事奉兩個主;不是惡這個,愛那個,就是重這個,輕那個。你們不能又事奉神,又事奉瑪門(瑪門:財利的意思)。」
箴言 28:22 The stingy are eager to get rich and are unaware that poverty awaits them.
人有惡眼想要急速發財,卻不知窮乏必臨到他身。

人就是賺得全世界,賠上自己的生命,有什麼益處呢?
路加福音 12:15 Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions."
於是對眾人說:「你們要謹慎自守,免去一切的貪心,因為人的生命不在乎家道豐富。」
哥林多前書 6:12 "I have the right to do anything," you say-but not everything is beneficial. "I have the right to do anything"-but I will not be mastered by anything.
凡事我都可行,但不都有益處。凡事我都可行,但無論哪一件,我總不受他的轄制。
以弗所書 4:28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.
從前偷竊的,不要再偷;總要勞力,親手做正經事,就可有餘分給那缺少的人。
哥林多前書 6:9 - 10 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
你們豈不知不義的人不能承受神的國嗎?不要自欺!無論是淫亂的、拜偶像的、姦淫的、作孌童的、親男色的、 偷竊的、貪婪的、醉酒的、辱罵的、勒索的,都不能承受神的國。

然而,敬虔加上知足的心便是大利了; 因為我們沒有帶什麼到世上來,也不能帶什麼去。 只要有衣有食,就當知足。 但那些想要發財的人,就陷在迷惑、落在網羅和許多無知有害的私慾裡,叫人沉在敗壞和滅亡中。 貪財是萬惡之根。有人貪戀錢財,就被引誘離了真道,用許多愁苦把自己刺透了。
箴言 1:10 - 19 My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them. If they say, "Come along with us; let's lie in wait for innocent blood, let's ambush some harmless soul; let's swallow them alive, like the grave, and whole, like those who go down to the pit; we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder; cast lots with us; we will all share the loot"- my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths; for their feet rush into evil, they are swift to shed blood. How useless to spread a net where every bird can see it! These men lie in wait for their own blood; they ambush only themselves! Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the life of those who get it.
我兒,惡人若引誘你,你不可隨從。 他們若說:你與我們同去,我們要埋伏流人之血,要蹲伏害無罪之人; 我們好像陰間,把他們活活吞下;他們如同下坑的人,被我們囫圇吞了; 我們必得各樣寶物,將所擄來的,裝滿房屋; 你與我們大家同分,我們共用一個囊袋; 我兒,不要與他們同行一道,禁止你腳走他們的路。 因為,他們的腳奔跑行惡;他們急速流人的血, 好像飛鳥,網羅設在眼前仍不躲避。 這些人埋伏,是為自流己血;蹲伏,是為自害己命。 凡貪戀財利的,所行之路都是如此;這貪戀之心乃奪去得財者之命。
箴言 16:33 The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.
籤放在懷裡,定事由耶和華。
使徒行傳 20:33 - 35 I have not coveted anyone's silver or gold or clothing. You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions. In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "
我未曾貪圖一個人的金、銀、衣服。 我這兩隻手常供給我和同人的需用,這是你們自己知道的。 我凡事給你們作榜樣,叫你們知道應當這樣勞苦,扶助軟弱的人,又當記念主耶穌的話,說:『施比受更為有福。』」
腓立比書 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
我的神必照他榮耀的豐富,在基督耶穌裡,使你們一切所需用的都充足。
出埃及記 20:17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."

以賽亞書 65:11 - 12 "But as for you who forsake the Lord and forget my holy mountain, who spread a table for Fortune and fill bowls of mixed wine for Destiny, I will destine you for the sword, and all of you will fall in the slaughter; for I called but you did not answer, I spoke but you did not listen. You did evil in my sight and chose what displeases me."
但你們這些離棄耶和華、忘記我的聖山、給時運擺筵席(原文作桌子)、給天命盛滿調和酒的, 我要命定你們歸在刀下,都必屈身被殺;因為我呼喚,你們沒有答應;我說話,你們沒有聽從;反倒行我眼中看為惡的,揀選我所不喜悅的。
耶利米書 17:11 Like a partridge that hatches eggs it did not lay are those who gain riches by unjust means. When their lives are half gone, their riches will desert them, and in the end they will prove to be fools.
那不按正道得財的,好像鷓鴣菢不是自己下的蛋;到了中年,那財都必離開他,他終久成為愚頑人。
使徒行傳 1:23 - 26 So they nominated two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias. Then they prayed, "Lord, you know everyone's heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs." Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.
於是選舉兩個人,就是那叫做巴撒巴,又稱呼猶士都的約瑟,和馬提亞。 眾人就禱告說:「主阿,你知道萬人的心,求你從這兩個人中,指明你所揀選的是誰,叫他得這使徒的位分。這位分猶大已經丟棄,往自己的地方去了。」 於是眾人為他們搖籤,搖出馬提亞來;他就和十一個使徒同列。
使徒行傳 20:35 In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "
我凡事給你們作榜樣,叫你們知道應當這樣勞苦,扶助軟弱的人,又當記念主耶穌的話,說:『施比受更為有福。』」
彼得前書 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.
各人要照所得的恩賜彼此服事,作神百般恩賜的好管家。
馬可福音 7:20 - 23 He went on: "What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person's heart, that evil thoughts come-sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person."
又說:「從人裡面出來的,那才能污穢人; 因為從裡面,就是從人心裡,發出惡念、苟合、 偷盜、兇殺、姦淫、貪婪、邪惡、詭詐、淫蕩、嫉妒、謗讟、驕傲、狂妄。 這一切的惡都是從裡面出來,且能污穢人。」

一個僕人不能事奉兩個主;不是惡這個愛那個,就是重這個輕那個。你們不能又事奉神,又事奉瑪門。」
以弗所書 5:5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person-such a person is an idolater-has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
因為你們確實的知道,無論是淫亂的,是污穢的,是有貪心的,在基督和神的國裡都是無分的。有貪心的,就與拜偶像的一樣。
帖撒羅尼迦前書 4:11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you,
又要立志作安靜人,辦自己的事,親手做工,正如我們從前所吩咐你們的,
提摩太前書 6:17 - 19 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.
你要囑咐那些今世富足的人,不要自高,也不要倚靠無定的錢財;只要倚靠那厚賜百物給我們享受的神。 又要囑咐他們行善,在好事上富足,甘心施捨,樂意供給(或作:體貼)人, 為自己積成美好的根基,預備將來,叫他們持定那真正的生命。
箴言 19:17 Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.
憐憫貧窮的,就是借給耶和華;他的善行,耶和華必償還。
約拿書 1:7 Then the sailors said to each other, "Come, let us cast lots to find out who is responsible for this calamity." They cast lots and the lot fell on Jonah.
船上的人彼此說:「來吧,我們掣籤,看看這災臨到我們是因誰的緣故。」於是他們掣籤,掣出約拿來。
約翰福音 2:14 - 15 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
看見殿裡有賣牛、羊、鴿子的,並有兌換銀錢的人坐在那裡, 耶穌就拿繩子作成鞭子,把牛羊都趕出殿去,倒出兌換銀錢之人的銀錢,推翻他們的桌子,
哥林多前書 6:10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
偷竊的、貪婪的、醉酒的、辱罵的、勒索的,都不能承受神的國。
帖撒羅尼迦前書 5:22 reject every kind of evil.
各樣的惡事要禁戒不做。
帖撒羅尼迦後書 3:10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat."
我們在你們那裡的時候,曾吩咐你們說,若有人不肯做工,就不可吃飯。
