"Therefore I want you to know that God's salvation has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will listen!"

歌羅西書 3:11
Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
在此並不分希利尼人、猶太人，受割禮的、未受割禮的，化外人，西古提人，為奴的、自主的，惟有基督是包括一切，又住在各人之內。

After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: "Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe.
God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us.
He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith.
辯論已經多了，彼得就起來，說：「諸位弟兄，你們知道神早已在你們中間揀選了我，叫外邦人從我口中得聽福音之道，而且相信。
知道人心的神也為他們作了見證，賜聖靈給他們，正如給我們一樣；
又藉著信潔淨了他們的心，並不分他們我們。
使徒行傳 18:4

Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.
When Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah.
But when they opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them, "Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent of it. From now on I will go to the Gentiles."
每逢安息日，保羅在會堂裡辯論，勸化猶太人和希利尼人。
西拉和提摩太從馬其頓來的時候，保羅為道迫切，向猶太人證明耶穌是基督。

He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
這便叫亞伯拉罕的福，因基督耶穌可以臨到外邦人，使我們因信得著所應許的聖靈。

So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.
They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.
Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.
所以我說，且在主裡確實的說，你們行事不要再像外邦人存虛妄的心行事。
他們心地昏昧，與神所賜的生命隔絕了，都因自己無知，心裡剛硬；
良心既然喪盡，就放縱私慾，貪行種種的污穢。
使徒行傳 17:22

Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: "People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious.
For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship-and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.
"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.
And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.
God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.
保羅站在亞略巴古當中，說：「眾位雅典人哪，我看你們凡事很敬畏鬼神。
我遊行的時候，觀看你們所敬拜的，遇見一座壇，上面寫著『未識之神』。你們所不認識而敬拜的，我現在告訴你們。
創造宇宙和其中萬物的神，既是天地的主，就不住人手所造的殿，
也不用人手服事，好像缺少什麼；自己倒將生命、氣息、萬物，賜給萬人。
他從一本（本：有古卷是血脈）造出萬族的人，住在全地上，並且預先定準他們的年限和所住的疆界，
要叫他們尋求神，或者可以揣摩而得，其實他離我們各人不遠；

Although I am less than the least of all the Lord's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ,
and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,
我本來比眾聖徒中最小的還小，然而他還賜我這恩典，叫我把基督那測不透的豐富傳給外邦人，
又使眾人都明白，這歷代以來隱藏在創造萬物之神裡的奧秘是如何安排的，
為要藉著教會使天上執政的、掌權的，現在得知神百般的智慧。
羅馬書 9:22

What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath-prepared for destruction?
What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory-
even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?
As he says in Hosea: "I will call them 'my people' who are not my people; and I will call her 'my loved one' who is not my loved one,"
and, "In the very place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' there they will be called 'children of the living God.' "
Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea, only the remnant will be saved.
For the Lord will carry out his sentence on earth with speed and finality."
It is just as Isaiah said previously: "Unless the Lord Almighty had left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah."
What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;
倘若神要顯明他的忿怒，彰顯他的權能，就多多忍耐寬容那可怒預備遭毀滅的器皿，
又要將他豐盛的榮耀彰顯在那蒙憐憫早預備得榮耀的器皿上。
這器皿就是我們被神所召的，不但是從猶太人中，也是從外邦人中。這有什麼不可呢？
就像神在何西阿書上說：那本來不是我子民的，我要稱為「我的子民」；本來不是蒙愛的，我要稱為「蒙愛的」。
從前在什麼地方對他們說：你們不是我的子民，將來就在那裡稱他們為「永生神的兒子」。
以賽亞指著以色列人喊著說：「以色列人雖多如海沙，得救的不過是剩下的餘數；
因為主要在世上施行他的話，叫他的話都成全，速速的完結。」
又如以賽亞先前說過：若不是萬軍之主給我們存留餘種，我們早已像所多瑪，蛾摩拉的樣子了。
這樣，我們可說什麼呢？那本來不追求義的外邦人反得了義，就是因信而得的義。
以賽亞書 56:6

And foreigners who bind themselves to the Lord to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant-
these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations."
The Sovereign Lord declares- he who gathers the exiles of Israel: "I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered."
還有那些與耶和華聯合的外邦人，要事奉他，要愛耶和華的名，要作他的僕人，就是凡守安息日不干犯，又持守他（原文作我）約的人。
我必領他們到我的聖山，使他們在禱告我的殿中喜樂。他們的燔祭和平安祭，在我壇上必蒙悅納，因我的殿必稱為萬民禱告的殿。
主耶和華，就是招聚以色列被趕散的，說：在這被招聚的人以外，我還要招聚別人歸併他們。
馬太福音 6:32
For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
這都是外邦人所求的，你們需用的這一切東西，你們的天父是知道的。
馬太福音 8:11
I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
我又告訴你們，從東從西，將有許多人來，在天國裡與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各一同坐席；

I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.

羅馬書 10:19
Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says, "I will make you envious by those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that has no understanding."
我再說，以色列人不知道嗎？先有摩西說：我要用那不成子民的，惹動你們的憤恨；我要用那無知的民觸動你們的怒氣。
哥林多前書 10:20
No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons.
我乃是說，外邦人所獻的祭是祭鬼，不是祭神。我不願意你們與鬼相交。
提摩太前書 3:16
Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.
大哉，敬虔的奧秘！無人不以為然：就是神在肉身顯現，被聖靈稱義（或作：在靈性稱義），被天使看見，被傳於外邦，被世人信服，被接在榮耀裡。
以弗所書 4:22
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
就要脫去你們從前行為上的舊人，這舊人是因私慾的迷惑漸漸變壞的；
彼得前書 4:3
For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do-living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry.
因為往日隨從外邦人的心意行邪淫、惡慾、醉酒、荒宴、群飲，並可惡拜偶像的事，時候已經夠了。
