歌羅西書 1:11
being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,

羅馬書 5:3
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;
不但如此，就是在患難中也是歡歡喜喜的；因為知道患難生忍耐，

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
但那等候耶和華的必從新得力。他們必如鷹展翅上騰；他們奔跑卻不困倦，行走卻不疲乏。
撒母耳記上 13:8

He waited seven days, the time set by Samuel; but Samuel did not come to Gilgal, and Saul's men began to scatter.
So he said, "Bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings." And Saul offered up the burnt offering.
Just as he finished making the offering, Samuel arrived, and Saul went out to greet him.
"What have you done?" asked Samuel. Saul replied, "When I saw that the men were scattering, and that you did not come at the set time, and that the Philistines were assembling at Mikmash,
I thought, 'Now the Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal, and I have not sought the Lord's favor.' So I felt compelled to offer the burnt offering."
"You have done a foolish thing," Samuel said. "You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time.
But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord's command."
Then Samuel left Gilgal and went up to Gibeah in Benjamin, and Saul counted the men who were with him. They numbered about six hundred.
掃羅照著撒母耳所定的日期等了七日。撒母耳還沒有來到吉甲，百姓也離開掃羅散去了。
掃羅說：「把燔祭和平安祭帶到我這裡來。」掃羅就獻上燔祭。
剛獻完燔祭，撒母耳就到了。掃羅出去迎接他，要問他好。
撒母耳說：「你做的是什麼事呢？」掃羅說：「因為我見百姓離開我散去，你也不照所定的日期來到，而且非利士人聚集在密抹。
所以我心裡說：恐怕我沒有禱告耶和華。非利士人下到吉甲攻擊我，我就勉強獻上燔祭。」
撒母耳對掃羅說：「你做了糊塗事了，沒有遵守耶和華你神所吩咐你的命令。若遵守，耶和華必在以色列中堅立你的王位，直到永遠。
現在你的王位必不長久。耶和華已經尋著一個合他心意的人，立他作百姓的君，因為你沒有遵守耶和華所吩咐你的。」
撒母耳就起來，從吉甲上到便雅憫的基比亞。掃羅數點跟隨他的，約有六百人。
雅各書 5:7

Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.
You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near.
弟兄們哪，你們要忍耐，直到主來。看哪，農夫忍耐等候地裡寶貴的出產，直到得了秋雨春雨。
你們也當忍耐，堅固你們的心；因為主來的日子近了。
提摩太後書 3:10
You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,

主人說：『好，你這又良善又忠心的僕人，你在不多的事上有忠心，我要把許多事派你管理；可以進來享受你主人的快樂。』
羅馬書 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
我們曉得萬事都互相效力，叫愛神的人得益處，就是按他旨意被召的人。
雅各書 1:2

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,
because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
我的弟兄們，你們落在百般試煉中，都要以為大喜樂；
因為知道你們的信心經過試驗，就生忍耐。
但忍耐也當成功，使你們成全、完備，毫無缺欠。
耶利米書 15:6
You have rejected me," declares the Lord. "You keep on backsliding. So I will reach out and destroy you; I am tired of holding back.
耶和華說：你棄絕了我，轉身退後；因此我伸手攻擊你，毀壞你。我後悔甚不耐煩。
