腓立比書 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

哥林多前書 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
豈不知在場上賽跑的都跑,但得獎賞的只有一人?你們也當這樣跑,好叫你們得著獎賞。

凡較力爭勝的,諸事都有節制,他們不過是要得能壞的冠冕;我們卻是要得不能壞的冠冕。

溫柔、節制。這樣的事沒有律法禁止。

人若在場上比武,非按規矩,就不能得冠冕。
箴言 25:27 It is not good to eat too much honey, nor is it honorable to search out matters that are too deep.
吃蜜過多是不好的;考究自己的榮耀也是可厭的。
羅馬書 12:8 - 10 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. 羅馬書 15:2 Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
我們各人務要叫鄰舍喜悅,使他得益處,建立德行。
箴言 27:2 Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth; an outsider, and not your own lips.
要別人誇獎你,不可用口自誇;等外人稱讚你,不可用嘴自稱。

羅馬書 12:18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
若是能行,總要盡力與眾人和睦。
哥林多前書 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
所以,你們或吃或喝,無論做什麼,都要為榮耀神而行。
腓立比書 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
我靠著那加給我力量的,凡事都能做。
