Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Better a poor but wise youth than an old but foolish king who no longer knows how to heed a warning.
兩個人總比一個人好，因為二人勞碌同得美好的果效。
若是跌倒，這人可以扶起他的同伴；若是孤身跌倒，沒有別人扶起他來，這人就有禍了。
再者，二人同睡就都暖和，一人獨睡怎能暖和呢？
有人攻勝孤身一人，若有二人便能敵擋他；三股合成的繩子不容易折斷。
貧窮而有智慧的少年人勝過年老不肯納諫的愚昧王。
但以理書 10:19
"Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed," he said. "Peace! Be strong now; be strong." When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, "Speak, my lord, since you have given me strength."
他說：「大蒙眷愛的人哪，不要懼怕，願你平安！你總要堅強。」他一向我說話，我便覺得有力量，說：「我主請說，因你使我有力量。」
約書亞記 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
