箴言 12:11 Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense.
耕種自己田地的,必得飽食;追隨虛浮的,卻是無知。
歌羅西書 4:1 Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven.
你們作主人的,要公公平平的待僕人,因為知道你們也有一位主在天上。
以弗所書 2:10 For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
我們原是他的工作,在基督耶穌裡造成的,為要叫我們行善,就是神所預備叫我們行的。
提多書 2:9 - 10 Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them, and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.
勸僕人要順服自己的主人,凡事討他的喜歡,不可頂撞他, 不可私拿東西,要顯為忠誠,以致凡事尊榮我們救主神的道。
申命記 24:15 Pay them their wages each day before sunset, because they are poor and are counting on it. Otherwise they may cry to the Lord against you, and you will be guilty of sin.
要當日給他工價,不可等到日落,因為他窮苦,把心放在工價上,恐怕他因你求告耶和華,罪便歸你了。
箴言 18:9 One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys.
做工懈怠的,與浪費人為弟兄。
箴言 20:4 Sluggards do not plow in season; so at harvest time they look but find nothing.
懶惰人因冬寒不肯耕種,到收割的時候,他必討飯而無所得。
傳道書 10:18 Through laziness, the rafters sag; because of idle hands, the house leaks.
因人懶惰,房頂塌下;因人手懶,房屋滴漏。
帖撒羅尼迦後書 3:10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat."
我們在你們那裡的時候,曾吩咐你們說,若有人不肯做工,就不可吃飯。
出埃及記 20:8 - 10 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns.
「當記念安息日,守為聖日。 六日要勞碌做你一切的工, 但第七日是向耶和華你神當守的安息日。這一日你和你的兒女、僕婢、牲畜,並你城裡寄居的客旅,無論何工都不可做;
但以理書 6:4 At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.
那時,總長和總督尋找但以理誤國的把柄,為要參他;只是找不著他的錯誤過失,因他忠心辦事,毫無錯誤過失。
以弗所書 6:9 And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.
你們作主人的,待僕人也是一理,不要威嚇他們。因為知道,他們和你們同有一位主在天上;他並不偏待人。
申命記 15:18 Do not consider it a hardship to set your servant free, because their service to you these six years has been worth twice as much as that of a hired hand. And the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.
你任他自由的時候,不可以為難事,因他服事你六年,較比雇工的工價多加一倍了。耶和華你的神就必在你所做的一切事上賜福與你。」
箴言 10:4 Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.
手懶的,要受貧窮;手勤的,卻要富足。
耶利米書 22:13 "Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his own people work for nothing, not paying them for their labor.
那行不義蓋房、行不公造樓、白白使用人的手工不給工價的有禍了!
哥林多前書 9:10 Surely he says this for us, doesn't he? Yes, this was written for us, because whoever plows and threshes should be able to do so in the hope of sharing in the harvest.
不全是為我們說的嗎?分明是為我們說的。因為耕種的當存著指望去耕種;打場的也當存得糧的指望去打場。
腓立比書 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
我靠著那加給我力量的,凡事都能做。
提摩太前書 6:1 All who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters worthy of full respect, so that God's name and our teaching may not be slandered.
凡在軛下作僕人的,當以自己主人配受十分的恭敬,免得神的名和道理被人褻瀆。
雅各書 5:4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.
工人給你們收割莊稼,你們虧欠他們的工錢,這工錢有聲音呼叫,並且那收割之人的冤聲已經入了萬軍之主的耳了。
利未記 19:13 " 'Do not defraud or rob your neighbor. " 'Do not hold back the wages of a hired worker overnight.
「不可欺壓你的鄰舍,也不可搶奪他的物。雇工人的工價,不可在你那裡過夜,留到早晨。
以弗所書 4:28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.
從前偷竊的,不要再偷;總要勞力,親手做正經事,就可有餘分給那缺少的人。
歌羅西書 3:23 - 24 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
無論做什麼,都要從心裡做,像是給主做的,不是給人做的, 因你們知道從主那裡必得著基業為賞賜;你們所事奉的乃是主基督。
帖撒羅尼迦前書 4:11 - 12 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
又要立志作安靜人,辦自己的事,親手做工,正如我們從前所吩咐你們的, 叫你們可以向外人行事端正,自己也就沒有什麼缺乏了。
提摩太後書 2:6 The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops.
勞力的農夫,理當先得糧食。
傳道書 2:10 I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure. My heart took delight in all my labor, and this was the reward for all my toil.
凡我眼所求的,我沒有留下不給他的;我心所樂的,我沒有禁止不享受的;因我的心為我一切所勞碌的快樂,這就是我從勞碌中所得的分。
路加福音 10:7 Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.
你們要住在那家,吃喝他們所供給的,因為工人得工價是應當的;不要從這家搬到那家。
以弗所書 6:6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.
不要只在眼前事奉,像是討人喜歡的,要像基督的僕人,從心裡遵行神的旨意。
箴言 20:13 Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare.
不要貪睡,免致貧窮;眼要睜開,你就吃飽。
傳道書 3:13 That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil-this is the gift of God.
並且人人吃喝,在他一切勞碌中享福,這也是神的恩賜。
