生氣卻不要犯罪;不可含怒到日落, 也不可給魔鬼留地步。
箴言 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
回答柔和,使怒消退;言語暴戾,觸動怒氣。
以弗所書 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
污穢的言語一句不可出口,只要隨事說造就人的好話,叫聽見的人得益處。

「你們聽見有話說:『當愛你的鄰舍,恨你的仇敵。』 只是我告訴你們,要愛你們的仇敵,為那逼迫你們的禱告。 這樣就可以作你們天父的兒子;因為他叫日頭照好人,也照歹人;降雨給義人,也給不義的人。 你們若單愛那愛你們的人,有什麼賞賜呢?就是稅吏不也是這樣行嗎? 你們若單請你弟兄的安,比人有什麼長處呢?就是外邦人不也是這樣行嗎? 所以,你們要完全,像你們的天父完全一樣。」
以弗所書 4:31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.
一切苦毒、惱恨、忿怒、嚷鬧、毀謗,並一切的惡毒(或作:陰毒),都當從你們中間除掉;
