箴言 13:4 A sluggard's appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.
懶惰人羨慕,卻無所得;殷勤人必得豐裕。
歌羅西書 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
無論做什麼,都要從心裡做,像是給主做的,不是給人做的,
箴言 10:4 Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.
手懶的,要受貧窮;手勤的,卻要富足。

箴言 24:30 - 34 I went past the field of a sluggard, past the vineyard of someone who has no sense; thorns had come up everywhere, the ground was covered with weeds, and the stone wall was in ruins. I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw: A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest- and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.
我經過懶惰人的田地、無知人的葡萄園, 荊棘長滿了地皮,刺草遮蓋了田面,石牆也坍塌了。 我看見就留心思想;我看著就領了訓誨。 再睡片時,打盹片時,抱著手躺臥片時, 你的貧窮就必如強盜速來,你的缺乏彷彿拿兵器的人來到。
箴言 6:9 - 11 How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest- and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.
懶惰人哪,你要睡到幾時呢?你何時睡醒呢? 再睡片時,打盹片時,抱著手躺臥片時, 你的貧窮就必如強盜速來,你的缺乏彷彿拿兵器的人來到。
箴言 19:15 Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the shiftless go hungry.
懶惰使人沉睡;懈怠的人必受飢餓。
箴言 20:13 Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare.
不要貪睡,免致貧窮;眼要睜開,你就吃飽。
箴言 6:6 Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!
懶惰人哪,你去察看螞蟻的動作就可得智慧。
箴言 26:13 - 16 A sluggard says, "There's a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!" As a door turns on its hinges, so a sluggard turns on his bed. A sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth. A sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven people who answer discreetly.
懶惰人說:道上有猛獅,街上有壯獅。 門在樞紐轉動,懶惰人在床上也是如此。 懶惰人放手在盤子裡,就是向口撤回也以為勞乏。 懶惰人看自己比七個善於應對的人更有智慧。
約翰福音 5:17 In his defense Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working."

帖撒羅尼迦後書 3:11 - 12 We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat.
因我們聽說,在你們中間有人不按規矩而行,什麼工都不做,反倒專管閒事。 我們靠主耶穌基督吩咐、勸戒這樣的人,要安靜做工,吃自己的飯。
箴言 27:33
馬太福音 25:26 - 30 "His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest. " 'So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
主人回答說:『你這又惡又懶的僕人,你既知道我沒有種的地方要收割,沒有散的地方要聚斂, 就當把我的銀子放給兌換銀錢的人,到我來的時候,可以連本帶利收回。 奪過他這一千來,給那有一萬的。 因為凡有的,還要加給他,叫他有餘;沒有的,連他所有的也要奪過來。 把這無用的僕人丟在外面黑暗裡;在那裡必要哀哭切齒了。』」
羅馬書 12:11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
殷勤不可懶惰。要心裡火熱,常常服事主。
箴言 10:5 He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.
夏天聚斂的,是智慧之子;收割時沉睡的,是貽羞之子。
歌羅西書 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
無論做什麼,或說話或行事,都要奉主耶穌的名,藉著他感謝父神。

箴言 19:24 A sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he will not even bring it back to his mouth!
懶惰人放手在盤子裡,就是向口撤回,他也不肯。
哥林多前書 9:24 - 27 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

箴言 13:23 An unplowed field produces food for the poor, but injustice sweeps it away.
窮人耕種多得糧食,但因不義,有消滅的。
希伯來書 6:10 - 12 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
