約伯記 9:25 "My days are swifter than a runner; they fly away without a glimpse of joy.
我的日子比跑信的更快,急速過去,不見福樂。
撒母耳記下 14:14 Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But that is not what God desires; rather, he devises ways so that a banished person does not remain banished from him.
我們都是必死的,如同水潑在地上,不能收回。神並不奪取人的性命,乃設法使逃亡的人不至成為趕出、回不來的。
詩篇 146:4 When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.
他的氣一斷,就歸回塵土;他所打算的,當日就消滅了。
以賽亞書 38:12 Like a shepherd's tent my house has been pulled down and taken from me. Like a weaver I have rolled up my life, and he has cut me off from the loom; day and night you made an end of me.

以賽亞書 51:12 "I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass,
惟有我,是安慰你們的。你是誰,竟怕那必死的人?怕那要變如草的世人?
約伯記 13:12 Your maxims are proverbs of ashes; your defenses are defenses of clay.
你們以為可記念的箴言是爐灰的箴言;你們以為可靠的堅壘是淤泥的堅壘。
約伯記 10:9 Remember that you molded me like clay. Will you now turn me to dust again?
求你記念製造我如摶泥一般,你還要使我歸於麈土嗎?
傳道書 1:4 Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever.
一代過去,一代又來,地卻永遠長存。
傳道書 6:12 For who knows what is good for a person in life, during the few and meaningless days they pass through like a shadow? Who can tell them what will happen under the sun after they are gone?
人一生虛度的日子,就如影兒經過,誰知道什麼與他有益呢?誰能告訴他身後在日光之下有什麼事呢?
約伯記 4:19 - 21 how much more those who live in houses of clay, whose foundations are in the dust, who are crushed more readily than a moth! Between dawn and dusk they are broken to pieces; unnoticed, they perish forever. Are not the cords of their tent pulled up, so that they die without wisdom?'
何況那住在土房、根基在塵土裡、被蠹蟲所毀壞的人呢? 早晚之間,就被毀滅,永歸無有,無人理會。 他帳棚的繩索豈不從中抽出來呢?他死,且是無智慧而死。
約伯記 10:20 Are not my few days almost over? Turn away from me so I can have a moment's joy
我的日子不是甚少嗎?求你停手寬容我,叫我在往而不返之先,就是往黑暗和死蔭之地以先可以稍得暢快。
詩篇 78:39 He remembered that they were but flesh, a passing breeze that does not return.
他想到他們不過是血氣,是一陣去而不返的風。
詩篇 90:5 - 6 Yet you sweep people away in the sleep of death- they are like the new grass of the morning: In the morning it springs up new, but by evening it is dry and withered.
你叫他們如水沖去;他們如睡一覺。早晨,他們如生長的草, 早晨發芽生長,晚上割下枯乾。
以賽亞書 40:24 No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.
他們是剛才(或作:不曾;下同)栽上,剛才種上,根也剛才扎在地裡,他一吹在其上,便都枯乾;旋風將他們吹去,像碎稓一樣。
以賽亞書 51:8 For the moth will eat them up like a garment; the worm will devour them like wool. But my righteousness will last forever, my salvation through all generations."
因為蛀蟲必咬他們,好像咬衣服;蟲子必咬他們,如同咬羊絨。惟有我的公義永遠長存,我的救恩直到萬代。
創世記 47:9 And Jacob said to Pharaoh, "The years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty. My years have been few and difficult, and they do not equal the years of the pilgrimage of my fathers."
雅各對法老說:「我寄居在世的年日是一百三十歲,我平生的年日又少又苦,不及我列祖早在世寄居的年日。」
撒母耳記上 20:3 But David took an oath and said, "Your father knows very well that I have found favor in your eyes, and he has said to himself, 'Jonathan must not know this or he will be grieved.' Yet as surely as the Lord lives and as you live, there is only a step between me and death."
大衛又起誓說:「你父親準知我在你眼前蒙恩。他心裡說,不如不叫約拿單知道,恐怕他愁煩。我指著永生的耶和華,又敢在你面前起誓,我離死不過一步。」
詩篇 90:9 - 10 All our days pass away under your wrath; we finish our years with a moan. Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.
我們經過的日子都在你震怒之下;我們度盡的年歲好像一聲歎息。 我們一生的年日是七十歲,若是強壯可到八十歲;但其中所矜誇的不過是勞苦愁煩,轉眼成空,我們便如飛而去。
詩篇 103:14 - 16 for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.
因為他知道我們的本體,思念我們不過是塵土。 至於世人,他的年日如草一樣。他發旺如野地的花, 經風一吹,便歸無有;他的原處也不再認識他。
約伯記 8:9 for we were born only yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow.
我們不過從昨日才有,一無所知;我們在世的日子好像影兒。
詩篇 90:3 You turn people back to dust, saying, "Return to dust, you mortals."
你使人歸於塵土,說:你們世人要歸回。
箴言 27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.
不要為明日自誇,因為一日要生何事,你尚且不能知道。
以賽亞書 40:6 - 7 A voice says, "Cry out." And I said, "What shall I cry?" "All people are like grass, and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the Lord blows on them. Surely the people are grass.
有人聲說:你喊叫吧!有一個說:我喊叫什麼呢?說:凡有血氣的盡都如草;他的美容都像野地的花。 草必枯乾,花必凋殘,因為耶和華的氣吹在其上;百姓誠然是草。
雅各書 4:14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
其實明天如何,你們還不知道。你們的生命是什麼呢?你們原來是一片雲霧,出現少時就不見了。
約伯記 7:6 - 10 "My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle, and they come to an end without hope. Remember, O God, that my life is but a breath; my eyes will never see happiness again. The eye that now sees me will see me no longer; you will look for me, but I will be no more. As a cloud vanishes and is gone, so one who goes down to the grave does not return. He will never come to his house again; his place will know him no more.
我的日子比梭更快,都消耗在無指望之中。 求你想念,我的生命不過是一口氣;我的眼睛必不再見福樂。 觀看我的人,他的眼必不再見我;你的眼目要看我,我卻不在了。 雲彩消散而過;照樣,人下陰間也不再上來。 他不再回自己的家;故土也不再認識他。
約伯記 14:1 "Mortals, born of woman, are of few days and full of trouble.
人為婦人所生,日子短少,多有患難;
詩篇 22:29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him- those who cannot keep themselves alive.
地上一切豐肥的人必吃喝而敬拜;凡下到塵土中不能存活自己性命的人都要在他面前下拜。
詩篇 39:4 - 6 "Show me, Lord, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure. "Surely everyone goes around like a mere phantom; in vain they rush about, heaping up wealth without knowing whose it will finally be.
耶和華啊,求你叫我曉得我身之終!我的壽數幾何?叫我知道我的生命不長! 你使我的年日窄如手掌;我一生的年數,在你面前如同無有。各人最穩妥的時候,真是全然虛幻。(細拉) 世人行動實係幻影。他們忙亂,真是枉然;積蓄財寶,不知將來有誰收取。
詩篇 89:47 - 48 Remember how fleeting is my life. For what futility you have created all humanity! Who can live and not see death, or who can escape the power of the grave?
求你想念我的時候是何等的短少;你創造世人,要使他們歸何等的虛空呢? 誰能常活免死、救他的靈魂脫離陰間的權柄呢?(細拉)
詩篇 102:11 My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.
我的年日如日影偏斜;我也如草枯乾。
詩篇 144:4 They are like a breath; their days are like a fleeting shadow.
人好像一口氣;他的年日如同影兒快快過去。
以賽亞書 2:22 Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?
你們休要倚靠世人。他鼻孔裡不過有氣息;他在一切事上可算什麼呢?
路加福音 12:20 "But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?'
神卻對他說:『無知的人哪,今夜必要你的靈魂;你所預備的要歸誰呢?』
雅各書 1:10 - 11 But the rich should take pride in their humiliation-since they will pass away like a wild flower. For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business.
富足的降卑,也該如此;因為他必要過去,如同草上的花一樣。 太陽出來,熱風颳起,草就枯乾,花也凋謝,美容就消沒了;那富足的人,在他所行的事上也要這樣衰殘。
歷代志上 29:15 We are foreigners and strangers in your sight, as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.
我們在你面前是客旅,是寄居的,與我們列祖一樣。我們在世的日子如影兒,不能長存(或作:沒有長存的指望)。
約伯記 13:28 "So man wastes away like something rotten, like a garment eaten by moths.
我已經像滅絕的爛物,像蟲蛀的衣裳。
約伯記 17:1 My spirit is broken, my days are cut short, the grave awaits me.
我的心靈消耗,我的日子滅盡;墳墓為我預備好了。
詩篇 39:11 When you rebuke and discipline anyone for their sin, you consume their wealth like a moth- surely everyone is but a breath.
你因人的罪惡懲罰他的時候,叫他的笑容消滅,(的笑容:或作所喜愛的)如衣被蟲所咬。世人真是虛幻!(細拉)
以賽亞書 64:6 All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.
我們都像不潔淨的人;所有的義都像污穢的衣服。我們都像葉子漸漸枯乾;我們的罪孽好像風把我們吹去。
