民數記 30:2 When a man makes a vow to the Lord or takes an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said.
人若向耶和華許願或起誓,要約束自己,就不可食言,必要按口中所出的一切話行。
詩篇 89:34 I will not violate my covenant or alter what my lips have uttered.
我必不背棄我的約,也不改變我口中所出的。
傳道書 5:4 - 5 When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it.
你向神許願,償還不可遲延,因他不喜悅愚昧人,所以你許的願應當償還。 你許願不還,不如不許。
馬太福音 5:37 All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
你們的話,是,就說是;不是,就說不是;若再多說,就是出於那惡者(或作就是從惡裡出來的)。」
彼得後書 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
主所應許的尚未成就,有人以為他是耽延,其實不是耽延,乃是寬容你們,不願有一人沉淪,乃願人人都悔改。
利未記 5:4 or if anyone thoughtlessly takes an oath to do anything, whether good or evil (in any matter one might carelessly swear about) even though they are unaware of it, but then they learn of it and realize their guilt-
或是有人嘴裡冒失發誓,要行惡,要行善,無論人在什麼事上冒失發誓,他卻不知道,一知道了就要在這其中的一件上有了罪。
民數記 30:1 - 2 Moses said to the heads of the tribes of Israel: "This is what the Lord commands: When a man makes a vow to the Lord or takes an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said.
摩西曉諭以色列各支派的首領說:「耶和華所吩咐的乃是這樣: 人若向耶和華許願或起誓,要約束自己,就不可食言,必要按口中所出的一切話行。
詩篇 15:4 who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the Lord; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind;
他眼中藐視匪類,卻尊重那敬畏耶和華的人。他發了誓,雖然自己吃虧也不更改。
馬太福音 5:33 "Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the Lord the vows you have made.'
「你們又聽見有吩咐古人的話,說:『不可背誓,所起的誓總要向主謹守。』
馬太福音 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
「你們祈求,就給你們;尋找,就尋見;叩門,就給你們開門。
希伯來書 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
神的道是活潑的,是有功效的,比一切兩刃的劍更快,甚至魂與靈,骨節與骨髓,都能刺入、剖開,連心中的思念和主意都能辨明。
民數記 23:19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
神非人,必不至說謊,也非人子,必不至後悔。他說話豈不照著行呢?他發言豈不要成就呢?
約書亞記 23:14 "Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.
「我現在要走世人必走的路。你們是一心一意地知道,耶和華你們神所應許賜福與你們的話沒有一句落空,都應驗在你們身上了。
馬太福音 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
「莫想我來要廢掉律法和先知。我來不是要廢掉,乃是要成全。
約翰福音 14:5 - 6 Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
多馬對他說:「主啊,我們不知道你往那裡去,怎麼知道那條路呢?」 耶穌說「我就是道路、真理、生命;若不藉著我,沒有人能到父那裡去。
使徒行傳 15:19 - 20 "It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood.
「所以據我的意見,不可難為那歸服神的外邦人; 只要寫信,吩咐他們禁戒偶像的污穢和姦淫,並勒死的牲畜和血。
羅馬書 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
你若口裡認耶穌為主,心裡信神叫他從死裡復活,就必得救。
哥林多後書 1:19 - 20 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us-by me and Silas and Timothy-was not "Yes" and "No," but in him it has always been "Yes." For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.
因為我和西拉並提摩太,在你們中間所傳神的兒子耶穌基督,總沒有是而又非的,在他只有一是。 神的應許,不論有多少,在基督都是是的。所以藉著他也都是實在(實在:原文作阿們)的,叫神因我們得榮耀。
歌羅西書 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.
你們要謹慎,恐怕有人用他的理學和虛空的妄言,不照著基督,乃照人間的遺傳和世上的小學就把你們擄去。
