申命記 30:19 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live
我今日呼天喚地向你作見證;我將生死禍福陳明在你面前,所以你要揀選生命,使你和你的後裔都得存活;
馬太福音 12:30 "Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
不與我相合的,就是敵我的;不同我收聚的,就是分散的。」
馬太福音 6:24 "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
「一個人不能事奉兩個主;不是惡這個,愛那個,就是重這個,輕那個。你們不能又事奉神,又事奉瑪門(瑪門:財利的意思)。」
列王記上 18:21 Elijah went before the people and said, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him." But the people said nothing.
以利亞前來對眾民說:「你們心持兩意要到幾時呢?若耶和華是神,就當順從耶和華;若巴力是神,就當順從巴力。」眾民一言不答。
提摩太前書 6:11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
但你這屬神的人要逃避這些事,追求公義、敬虔、信心、愛心、忍耐、溫柔。
約書亞記 1:7 "Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.
只要剛強,大大壯膽,謹守遵行我僕人摩西所吩咐你的一切律法,不可偏離左右,使你無論往那裡去,都可以順利。
撒母耳記上 12:20 "Do not be afraid," Samuel replied. "You have done all this evil; yet do not turn away from the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart.
撒母耳對百姓說:「不要懼怕!你們雖然行了這惡,卻不要偏離耶和華,只要盡心事奉他。
約書亞記 24:15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."
若是你們以事奉耶和華為不好,今日就可以選擇所要事奉的:是你們列祖在大河那邊所事奉的神呢?是你們所住這地的亞摩利人的神呢?至於我和我家,我們必定事奉耶和華。」

散會以後,猶太人和敬虔進猶太教的人多有跟從保羅、巴拿巴的。二人對他們講道,勸他們務要恆久在神的恩中。
雅各書 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
忍受試探的人是有福的,因為他經過試驗以後,必得生命的冠冕,這是主應許給那些愛他之人的。
加拉太書 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
基督釋放了我們,叫我們得以自由。所以要站立得穩,不要再被奴僕的軛挾制。
雅各書 1:25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it-not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it-they will be blessed in what they do.
惟有詳細察看那全備,使人自由之律法的,並且時常如此,這人既不是聽了就忘,乃是實在行出來,就在他所行的事上必然得福。
箴言 4:26 - 27 Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
要修平你腳下的路,堅定你一切的道。 不可偏向左右;要使你的腳離開邪惡。
羅馬書 11:22 Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.
可見神的恩慈和嚴厲,向那跌倒的人是嚴厲的,向你是有恩慈的;只要你長久在他的恩慈裡,不然,你也要被砍下來。
